Job description

• Manage daily inbound (raw spices, oils, packaging materials) and outbound (dispatches to dealers, modern trade, e-commerce) operations across the warehouse.
• Enforce strict FIFO/FEFO discipline given perishability and shelf-life sensitivity of pickles, masalas, and ready-to-eat products.
• Maintain inventory accuracy of 98%+ through daily cycle counts, weekly audits, and monthly physical stock verification.
• Oversee batch coding, traceability records, and shelf-life monitoring for every SKU.
• Coordinate with production planning to ensure timely receipt of raw materials and dispatch of finished goods.
• Ensure full compliance with FSSAI regulations, HACCP, ISO 22000, and Good Warehousing Practices (GWP).
• Maintain pest control programme, temperature/humidity logs, and hygiene SOPs across all storage zones.
• Manage segregation of veg/non-veg masalas, allergen control, and quarantine of non-conforming stock.
• Coordinate FSSAI, BIS, and customer audits; maintain documentation and CAPA closure.
• Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, Legal Metrology, and labour regulations.

Dispatch & Logistics

• Plan and execute daily dispatches to 250+ dealers across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala.
• Generate e-way bills, GST invoices, and delivery challans accurately and on time.
• Negotiate with transporters; track freight cost per kg/case and on-time delivery (OTD) performance.
• Manage reverse logistics — returns, near-expiry stock, and damaged goods.

People Management

• Lead a team of supervisors, store keepers, pickers, packers, loaders, and forklift operators (typically 25–50 members).
• Schedule shifts, manage attendance, conduct training, and drive performance reviews.
• Ensure safety briefings, PPE compliance, and zero-accident culture on the shop floor.

Systems, Reporting & Cost Control

• Operate and optimise ERP / WMS systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle NetSuite, or equivalent).
• Publish daily/weekly MIS: stock position, dispatch performance, dock-to-stock TAT, shrinkage, and dealer fill rate.
• Own warehouse budget — manpower, packing material, fuel, housekeeping, and pest control.
• Drive Kaizen, 5S, and Lean initiatives to reduce wastage and improve throughput.
