You will oversee operations, merchandising, and stock control while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a premium setting.

• Prior experience managing a department, category, or warehouse with responsibility for sales, inventory, and operational performance.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities with a customer-centric mindset.
• Knowledge of stock control, merchandising, product quality, and retail operations.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to drive sales and optimise profitability.
• Understanding of food safety and storage standards is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily department operations ensuring product availability and adherence to SOPs.
• Drive departmental sales, monitor category performance and improve profitability.
• Maintain stock levels, conduct regular audits, and minimise shrinkage.
• Ensure product quality, correct labeling, packaging, and shelf-life monitoring.
• Maintain attractive displays, correct pricing, and proper categorization.
• Coordinate with procurement and store teams for timely deliveries and stock movement.
• Support customers with product information and recommendations in a premium retail setting.
• Lead, train, and motivate staff, ensuring adequate staffing and productivity.
• Track sales, inventory movement, margins, stock ageing, and report findings.

We are looking for dynamic, commercially driven Department Managers to manage key departments across our Hyderabad and Bellandur, Bengaluru locations. Opportunities are available across Processed Foods, Spices, Staples, Dry Fruits, Tea, and Warehouse Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Department Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning, product availability, and adherence to company SOPs and service standards.
• Sales & Business Performance: Drive departmental sales, achieve revenue targets, monitor category performance, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and margins.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Maintain optimal stock levels, manage replenishment, conduct regular stock audits, and minimize stock discrepancies, shrinkage, and wastage.
• Product Quality & Compliance: Ensure product quality, freshness, correct labelling, packaging, storage conditions, shelf-life monitoring, and compliance with applicable food safety standards.
• Merchandising & Product Presentation: Maintain attractive product displays, effective shelf placement, pricing accuracy, and proper product categorization to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Vendor & Procurement Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and internal procurement teams to ensure timely deliveries, quality consistency, and efficient stock movement.
• Customer Experience: Assist customers with product information, recommendations, and queries while maintaining high standards of service in a premium retail environment.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate departmental staff, allocate responsibilities, monitor productivity, and ensure adequate staffing.
• Reporting & Analysis: Track sales, inventory movement, margins, stock ageing, and other key performance indicators; prepare regular reports and implement corrective actions.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with store management, procurement, warehouse, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Additional Responsibilities - Warehouse Operations

For candidates managing warehouse operations, responsibilities will include overseeing goods receipt and dispatch, stock put-away, storage and bin management, inventory reconciliation, order fulfilment, FIFO/FEFO practices, and coordination of interdepartmental stock transfers.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in gourmet food retail, supermarket operations, FMCG, specialty food retail, or food distribution.
• Experience managing a department, category, or warehouse with responsibility for sales, inventory, and operational performance.
• Strong understanding of stock control, merchandising, product quality, and retail operations.
• Good leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to drive sales, control costs, and improve departmental profitability.
• Knowledge of food safety, storage standards, and inventory management systems will be an advantage.
• A customer-centric approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, premium retail environment.
