Job summary

SHL is seeking a Demo Engineer to bridge technical engineering and commercial sales in our Global Enterprise team. You will design demo assets, craft industry-specific use cases, and collaborate cross-functionally to showcase SHL's talent solutions.

This is an individual contributor role focused on enablement, solution design, and sales support. You will build and maintain demonstrable environments, tailor datasets, and script sector-specific configurations to accelerate enterprise deals while

Qualifications

• Presales or related SaaS roles in a professional setting.
• Strong SaaS configuration and data manipulation skills.
• Ability to translate features into customer benefits.
• Experience bridging engineering and sales teams.
• Nice to have HR tech knowledge (ATS, HCM).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reusable SHL demo environments reflecting latest product releases.
• Populate environments with realistic datasets tailored for enterprise buyers.
• Create tailored scripts for sectors and roles (e.g., BFSI, Retail, Tech).
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to preview features and capture field requirements.
• Research competitor demo strategies to stay benchmark quality.
• Lead technical discovery and solution design for key accounts to accelerate deals.

What You Will Be Doing

• Build and maintain a library of reusable, "always-ready" SHL demo environments reflecting the latest product releases.
• Ensure environments are populated with realistic, diverse, and compliant datasets (candidates, analytics) tailored for enterprise buyers.
• Create tailored scripts and configurations customized for specific sectors (e.g., BFSI, Retail, Tech) and roles (e.g., CHRO, Talent Acquisition, Hiring Manager).
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to preview upcoming features, integrate them ahead of launch, and capture field requirements for sales‑friendly product enhancements.
• Research competitor demo strategies to ensure SHL's environments remain the benchmark for Talent Tech excellence.
• Drive full‑life‑cycle technical discovery, solution design, and technical scoping for key accounts to accelerate deal closure and navigate security or technical hurdles.

Essential

What we’re looking for from you

• Professional background in Presales, Sales Operations, or Product Marketing within a SaaS company.
• Strong capability with SaaS configurations, data manipulation, and understanding technical product mechanics.
• A proven ability to translate product "features" into customer‑centric "benefits" that solve specific business problems.
• Comfortable and effective working at the intersection of technical teams (Engineering) and commercial teams (Sales).

Desired

• Prior knowledge or experience working with HR technologies such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms.
• A strong eye for design and aesthetics, ensuring product presentations look polished and engaging.
