Job summary

SHL is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain infrastructure and developer enablement tools. The role emphasizes automation, collaboration, and scalable platforms to support talent assessment technology.

You will contribute to secure, highly available systems, implement IaC, and guide teams in modern DevOps practices, ensuring efficient, reliable delivery of services across the SHL ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong scripting and automation experience with Python or Go
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines
• Build and scale infrastructure on AWS, ensuring provisioning, monitoring, and cost optimization
• Direct large-scale Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and service reliability
• Maintain high-availability environments with minimal downtime under continuous workloads
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards across the platform
• Platform Engineering: create and maintain internal platforms and self-service tools for development teams
• Use Terraform or Ansible to deliver Infrastructure as Code for deployments
• Develop and integrate APIs to simplify workflows and improve developer experience

What You Will Be Doing

Experience

What we are looking for from you

Essential

• Strong scripting and automation experience with Python or Go Deep troubleshooting and incident management with solid root cause

Evaluation Experiences Desirable

• Excellent collaboration and communication experience to partner effectively with crossfunctional teams Bonus Points
• Prior experience working in both startup and enterprise setups, apprehending the balance between agility and scale
