Job summary

Embark Services Private Limited is seeking a Deputy Manager for its Cyber Team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on building client relationships, developing data protection policies, and conducting DPIAs and risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Indian data protection laws, relevant CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE certifications, and excellent communication skills to work with diverse teams and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 to 13+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
• CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE or related certifications preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify potential data privacy and protection risks and develop mitigation strategies for clients as per their requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection laws and company policies as per client requirement.
• Provide guidance and support to clients on conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), risk assessments, data governance, and privacy impact assessments.
• Design and build security/privacy framework and privacy controls to support framework development for clients.
