Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The role emphasizes automation, data quality, governance, and collaboration with business stakeholders.

You will leverage AI coding assistants to boost productivity, design semantic data layers, and deploy reliable data contracts for scalable analytics solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data or Analytics Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from sources into Snowflake.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and be comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to improve engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.
• Configure and manage data ingestion using Fivetran.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, documentation, and deployment workflows.
• Design data models and semantic layers for analytics consumption.
• Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and data contracts.
• Use AI-powered coding assistants to automate development and documentation tasks.
• Review, validate, and deploy AI-generated code.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Snowflake
• Hands-on expertise in dbt Cloud
