Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The ideal candidate will work with cloud data platforms and leverage AI coding assistants to boost productivity.

Responsibilities include end-to-end pipeline development, data modeling, quality checks, tests, and deployment workflows. You will collaborate with business and tech stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Snowflake data platform and modern data pipelines.
• Hands-on dbt Cloud development, testing, documentation and deployment.
• Advanced SQL and data modeling skills for analytics.
• Experience with Fivetran or similar ELT tools for data ingestion.
• Experience in data pipeline development and analytics engineering.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools to improve developer productivity.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and be comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to improve engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.
• Configure and manage data ingestion using Fivetran.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, documentation, and deployment workflows.
• Design data models and semantic layers for analytics consumption.
