Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. You will leverage AI coding assistants to boost productivity and ensure production-ready code.

Strong SQL, data modeling, and CI/CD practices are essential. You will design data models and semantic layers for analytics consumption, implement data quality checks, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Data or Analytics Engineering.
• Hands-on with Snowflake and dbt in production ELT pipelines.
• Experience with data quality, governance, and pipelines automation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines into Snowflake.
• Configure ingestion with Fivetran and maintain dbt models.
• Design semantic layers and data contracts for analytics teams.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and be comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to improve engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.
• Configure and manage data ingestion using Fivetran.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, documentation, and deployment workflows.
• Design data models and semantic layers for analytics consumption.
• Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and data contracts.
• Use AI-powered coding assistants to automate development and documentation tasks.
• Review, validate, and deploy AI-generated code.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

Required Skills
