Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran in a cloud-native environment. You will design robust data architectures and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver reusable analytics assets.

You will also leverage AI coding assistants to boost productivity, implement data quality checks and governance, and ensure scalable, production-grade ELT workflows across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data or Analytics Engineering.
• 2+ years with Snowflake and dbt.
• Production-grade ELT pipelines experience.
• Strong focus on automation, data quality and governance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.
• Configure and manage data ingestion using Fivetran.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, documentation, and deployment workflows.
• Design data models and semantic layers for analytics consumption.
• Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and data contracts.
• Use AI-powered coding assistants to automate development and documentation tasks.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and be comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to improve engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.
• Configure and manage data ingestion using Fivetran.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, documentation, and deployment workflows.
