Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The role emphasizes hands-on cloud data platforms and leveraging AI coding assistants to boost productivity.

You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions, implement data quality checks, data contracts, and semantic layers for analytics consumption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years hands-on with Snowflake and dbt.
• Experience building production-grade ELT pipelines.
• Strong focus on automation, data quality, and governance.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.
• Configure and manage data ingestion using Fivetran.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, documentation, and deployment workflows.
• Design data models and semantic layers for analytics consumption.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and be comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to improve engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.
• Configure and manage data ingestion using Fivetran.
