Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to design and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The role emphasizes hands-on cloud data platform work and leveraging AI coding assistants to boost productivity.

You will build end-to-end pipelines, implement data quality checks, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt Cloud and Fivetran in production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience for analytics.
• Experience with automated testing, data quality frameworks and governance principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and Git-based development.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and be comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to improve engineering productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake.
• Configure and manage data ingestion using Fivetran.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, documentation, and deployment workflows.
• Design data models and semantic layers for analytics consumption.
• Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and data contracts.
• Use AI-powered coding assistants to automate development and documentation tasks.
• Review, validate, and deploy AI-generated code.
