Job summary

EXL in India, Tamil Nadu, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The role emphasizes hands-on cloud data platforms and leveraging AI coding assistants to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and SQL in data engineering.
• Experience with Fivetran or similar ELT tools.
• Hands-on data pipeline development and analytics engineering.
• Experience with automated testing and data quality frameworks.
• Knowledge of Git-based development and CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage data ingestion using Fivetran.

• Use AI-powered coding assistants to automate development and documentation tasks.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to build and maintain modern data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt Cloud, and Fivetran. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and be comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to improve engineering productivity.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
