Job summary

Purview Services is seeking a skilled Cabling Technician to install, terminate and certify high-density cabling in data center or telecom environments. You will work with Cat6/Cat6A copper, single- and multimode fibre, and pre-terminated trunk systems, following safety and project standards.

You will perform fusion splicing, manage fibre routes, rack and stack cabinets, and use test equipment like Fluke DSX, CertiFiber and OTDR to export results for warranty submission.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Telecom (or equivalent field experience)
• 2+ years of structured cabling work on data centre, telecom or enterprise projects
• Hands-on copper termination and fibre termination/splicing experience
• Ability to read floor plans, rack elevations, cable schedules and BOQs
• Working familiarity with TIA-568 / TIA-606 / TIA-942 practices

Responsibilities

• Install, dress and terminate Cat6/Cat6A copper and single/multi-mode fibre including pre-terminated trunk systems
• Perform fusion splicing, connectorisation and fibre management in FDUs/ODFs
• Rack and stack; install cabinets, aisle containment, cable tray/basket/ladder pathways and fibre raceways
• Test and certify links using Fluke DSX / CertiFiber / OTDR; save and export results for OEM warranty submission
• Label to TIA-606 / project labelling schema; maintain as-built documentation and red line drawings
• Follow method statements, RAMS, permit-to-work and site HSE rules, including work at height
• Support installation of intelligent PDUs, environmental sensors and DCIM connectivity as directed
• Coordinate with MEP contractors, OEM engineers and QA/QC for snag closure and warranty sign-off

• Perform fusion splicing, connectorisation and fibre management in FDUs/ODFs


• Rack and stack; install cabinets, aisle containment, cable tray/basket/ladder pathways and fibre raceway


• Test and certify links using Fluke DSX / CertiFiber / OTDR; save and export results for OEM warranty submission


• Label to TIA-606 / project labelling schema; maintain as-built documentation and red line drawings
