Job summary

IDP Industries in Noida is seeking a Cutting Master to oversee fabric cutting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in line with production plans. You will interpret patterns, lay and mark fabric, supervise cutting, and coordinate with production, stitching, and quality teams to maintain workflow and timely order completion.

The role also involves equipment maintenance and training junior staff on cutting techniques.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in fabric cutting, pattern interpretation, and garment layout for tactical/outdoor products.
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated cutting tools and machinery, including basic maintenance and safety procedures.
• Attention to detail in measuring, marking, and quality-checking cut parts to minimize wastage and ensure consistency.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings, specifications, and production orders, with good numerical and measurement skills.
• Experience coordinating with production and quality teams to meet timelines and resolve cutting-related issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to guide and train junior cutting staff on best practices.
• Prior experience in garment, textile, or gear manufacturing, preferably with high-performance or technical products.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and adherence to shop-floor protocols.
• Minimum high school or vocational qualification; formal training in garment or textile technology is an advantage.

Role Description

The Cutting Master will oversee fabric cutting operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and optimal use of materials in line with production plans. Responsibilities include interpreting patterns and technical specifications, laying and marking fabric, supervising cutting processes, and checking cut components against quality standards. The role involves coordinating with production, stitching, and quality teams to maintain workflow, resolve cutting-related issues, and support timely order completion. The Cutting Master will also maintain cutting equipment, implement safety practices on the shop floor, and help train junior staff on cutting techniques. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.
