Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is seeking a skilled Customs & Trade Compliance professional to manage end-to-end import and export shipments in line with regulatory policies. The role demands deep knowledge of customs laws, FTP, DGFT procedures, and HS classification to ensure efficient clearance.

Candidate must be proficient in SAP and MS Excel, with strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder-management abilities to maintain records and resolve clearance issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of managing end-to-end import and export shipments in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with customs laws, Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), and other regulatory requirements.
• Verify and classify products under the appropriate HS Code/Customs Tariff.
• Coordinate customs clearance activities and resolve customs queries, examinations, or audits.
• Maintain records required under customs regulations and company compliance policies.
• Strong knowledge of Customs Regulations, Foreign Trade Policy, DGFT procedures, and international trade practices.
• Experience with EPCG, Advance Authorization, FTA/CEPA benefits, and export incentive schemes.
• Knowledge of HS Classification, Customs Valuation, Rules of Origin, and Duty Drawback mechanisms.
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and customs documentation processes.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export shipments in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with customs authorities to ensure timely clearance and resolve queries.
• Maintain and audit records as required by regulations and internal policies.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to apply DGFT procedures and export incentive schemes as applicable.
