Qualifications
Experience in HS (tariff) classification, customs valuation, and country of origin determination.
Good knowledge of import/customs regulations and Free Trade Agreements.
Strong analytical skills to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.

Key Accountabilities (main tasks expected from the position)
Ensure on time import/export customs clearances, availing of applicable exemptions, duty benefits and apply the various schemes in the exim flow to achieve the duty optimization, cash avoidance and export benefits.
Experience in HS (tariff) classification, customs valuation, and country of origin Determination.
Good knowledge of import/ customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin, Import Duties, International Regulations
Set up Daily/Monthly Status Reports with clearance TAT and cash accrual and receivable report.
Managing the Imports License Processes-Application, Reviews, Consumptions, Closures.
Documentation support for duty drawback both AIR and Brand Rate, EDD refunds
Documentation support for Monitoring and renewals of SVB and AEO Certification.
Repair and return, used goods import, warranty replacements, defective goods re-export, documentation, coordinate closure of GR waiver transactions
Validating supplier payment and ensure payments are as per the purchase contracts.
Ensure that India exim activities are compliant with domestic and international import/export regulations, customs, and sanctions requirements
Constantly update management with changes in Government policies and procedures that impact company's workings and also suggest improvements to derive maximum benefit for the organization.
Update existing processes and procedures, develop new processes and write new procedures governing India, country specific and site-specific activities.
