Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Service Engineer based in India.

As a Customer Service Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting advanced medical imaging equipment across your assigned territory.
You will work closely with healthcare professionals, technicians, and internal teams to ensure equipment reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
The role covers a broad range of imaging technologies, including CT, MRI, Cath Lab, C-Arms, PET/CT, and Ultrasound systems.
You will diagnose complex technical issues, perform installations and preventive maintenance, and deliver timely field service.
Beyond technical support, you will contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities and supporting account activities.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing position that requires independence, adaptability, and a strong commitment to quality.
Based in Gujarat, the role involves extensive travel and offers the opportunity to develop expertise in a dynamic healthcare technology environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair multi-modality medical imaging equipment, including CT, MRI, Cath Lab, C-Arms, PET/CT, Ultrasound, and related systems.
  • Perform system-level troubleshooting for complex technical issues involving mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic components.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance, warranty services, and other scheduled service activities to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Act as a primary technical interface for doctors, technicians, and customer representatives, providing clear updates on equipment status and resolving service concerns efficiently.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with customers and proactively address issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Support business development within the assigned geographic area by participating in account visits and identifying potential sales opportunities.
  • Communicate relevant customer and sales opportunities to the appropriate account teams and contribute to commercial activities when required.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices with colleagues and support the training and development of other team members.Maintain accurate service documentation and follow established quality systems and programs in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and service quality requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support different locations and customer needs according to business requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience servicing medical equipment, preferably with hands-on experience supporting CT, MRI, Cath Lab, C-Arms, PET/CT, Ultrasound, or similar imaging systems.
  • Proven experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment.
  • Experience working directly with both internal teams and external customers in a technical or solution-oriented service environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical issues independently.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to document service activities and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
  • Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and provide effective guidance.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Gujarat and adapt to other locations when required by business needs.
  • Flexibility to work after hours and participate in rotating on-call schedules, including weekends.
  • A proactive mindset, strong sense of ownership, and willingness to share knowledge and best practices.
