Job summary

The Banyan is a leading preschool and corporate day-care provider with pan-India presence, seeking a Curriculum Designer to create engaging, age-appropriate learning programs for preschool and early years.

You will design lesson plans, teacher manuals, assessment tools, and learning resources, collaborating with academic teams, conducting teacher trainings, and aligning content with current research and classroom feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience in curriculum design for preschool or early childhood education.
  • Prior experience in reputed preschool chains, schools, publishing houses, or EdTech organizations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development theories and early years pedagogy.
  • Excellent content writing, instructional design, and curriculum development skills.
  • Creative mindset with ability to design engaging learning experiences.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; Canva familiarity an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop curriculum, lesson plans, activity planners, and learning resources for preschool and early years programs.
  • Create developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
  • Design hands-on, play-based, inquiry-driven, and experiential learning activities.
  • Create teacher manuals, assessment tools, worksheets, learning aids, and classroom resources.
  • Develop themes, projects, storytelling modules, STEM activities, art and craft activities, and experiential learning programs.
  • Review and update existing curriculum based on educational research, classroom feedback, and evolving teaching methodologies.
  • Collaborate with academic teams and teachers to ensure effective curriculum implementation.
  • Conduct teacher training sessions and provide guidance on curriculum delivery.
  • Design child assessment frameworks and developmental milestone tracking tools.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and innovation across all curriculum content.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and creative Curriculum Designer to develop engaging, age-appropriate, and research-based learning programs for preschool and early years children (ages 26 years). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, early childhood pedagogy, and experiential learning, with the ability to design curriculum that nurtures cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development.

  • Design and develop curriculum, lesson plans, activity planners, and learning resources for preschool and early years programs.
  • Create developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 38 years of experience in curriculum design for preschool or early childhood education.
  • Prior experience in reputed preschool chains, schools, publishing houses, or EdTech organizations is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development theories and early years pedagogy.
  • Excellent content writing, instructional design, and curriculum development skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to design engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with Canva or other content creation tools is an advantage.
