Job summary

Birra Fragrances Llp is seeking a Credit Control Executive to manage customer credit, ensure timely collections, and minimize bad debts. You will support the sales team while balancing growth with financial risk.

Responsibilities include monitoring debtor ageing, following up with distributors and retailers, reconciling ledgers, and preparing collection reports. You will ensure adherence to credit policy and assist in month-end closings to maintain healthy receivables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or Collections (FMCG experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of GST invoicing, receivables, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Tally/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer outstanding balances and debtor ageing reports.
  • Follow up with distributors, super stockists, retailers, and corporate customers for timely payments.
  • Maintain customer credit limits and recommend revisions based on payment history.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Accounts, and Logistics to resolve payment-related disputes.
  • Release or hold orders based on approved credit policies.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports.
  • Reconcile customer ledgers and resolve account discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of post-dated cheques, bank transfers, and payment commitments.
  • Escalate overdue accounts and recommend legal or recovery actions where required.
  • Ensure adherence to Birra Fragrances' credit policy and internal financial controls.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to receivables.

Job description
