Job summary

SANY group in India is seeking a Service Engineer to manage troubleshooting, maintenance, and field service for crane models including crawler, truck, and all-terrain cranes, ensuring high uptime.

You will lead service activities, perform diagnostics, coordinate with BU and HO teams, and support spare parts sales while adhering to safety standards.

Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems is required; willingness to travel and work onsite is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily service activities including troubleshooting and repairs.

• Identify spare parts needs and prepare quotations for cranes.
• Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural crane issues.
• Coordinate with BU and HO for critical troubleshooting and escalation.
• Oversee technicians during maintenance, erection, and major repairs.
• Enforce safety standards during all field operations.

Position: Service Engineer

Purpose of This Position - To manage troubleshooting, maintenance, and service operations for various crane models including Crawler Cranes, Truck Cranes, All Terrain Cranes, and other heavy lifting equipment within the Heavy Equipment Business Unit, ensuring high machine uptime and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Plan, organize, supervise, and execute daily service activities including breakdown troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs for various crane models such as Crawler Cranes, Truck Cranes, All Terrain Cranes, and other crane equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, periodic servicing, and inspection to ensure optimal crane performance and operational safety.
• Ensure periodic service compliance for machines under warranty, maintaining service schedules as per OEM guidelines.
• Monitor and ensure post-warranty service coverage, including maintenance support and customer follow-ups.
• Prepare and submit Technical Service Information reports after replacement of warranty parts or major component repairs.
• Support spare parts sales growth by identifying replacement requirements and generating maximum spare parts quotations for cranes and related components.
• Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural issues in crane systems including boom systems, winches, slewing mechanisms, load moment indicators (LMI), and control systems.
• Identify areas for service improvement, operational efficiency, and reliability enhancement, and implement improved service practices.
• Ensure timely submission of Daily and Weekly MIS reports, including breakdown reports, service activities, and parts consumption.
• Coordinate with Business Unit (BU) and Head Office (HO) technical teams for critical troubleshooting, technical support, and escalation of complex crane issues.
• Manage and supervise service technicians and manpower during crane maintenance, erection, commissioning, and major repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures during crane servicing, troubleshooting, and field operations.
