Job Description CPE Interoperability & User Experience Test Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a CPE Interoperability & User Experience Test Engineer responsible for validating end-to-end connectivity, interoperability, and real-world user experience across wireless devices, controllers, and home networking environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end interoperability testing across CPE, controllers, and client devices
• Validate connectivity, onboarding, and association flows across 2.4/5/6 GHz bands
• Perform user experience testing for real-world scenarios (video calls, streaming, IoT usage)
• Ensure seamless device onboarding and provisioning (QR, app pairing, WPS, guest networks)
• Validate firmware upgrade stability, reboot recovery, and power outage scenarios
• Perform multi-device and high-density testing (20–60 concurrent clients)
• Execute security validation (WPA2/WPA3, authentication flows, guest isolation)
• Test roaming, band steering, and mesh transitions across AP and controller environments

Test Scope (High-Level)

Connectivity & Onboarding

• Association, DHCP/IPv6, SSID behavior, provisioning flows

User Experience Validation

• Video conferencing, 4K streaming, gaming connectivity, IoT coexistence

Interoperability Testing

• Multi-vendor clients, device types, OS platforms, and mixed network environments

Performance & Density

• Concurrent clients, airtime fairness, channel coexistence

RF & Mobility Validation

Technical Skills Required

Strong experience in:

• Wi-Fi/CPE testing and interoperability validation
• WLAN technologies (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
• Network protocols (DHCP, TCP/IP, IPv6)

Hands-on with:

• Test tools (Wireshark, IxChariot, Octoscope, Candela)
• RF test setup and packet analysis

Experience in:

• Firmware testing, defect tracking (JIRA), log analysis
