Job summary

Celona is seeking a WiFi Test Engineer to design and execute test plans, build benchmarks, and maintain lab environments for Wi-Fi and private cellular coexistence. You will verify interoperability and handoff scenarios across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and industrial IoT devices.

Key duties include automating regression tests in Python, integrating with CI, triaging defects with logs, and collaborating with product and systems engineering to prepare for field trials and deployments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in wireless test, QA, or network engineering.
• Deep 802.11 knowledge: a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi-Fi 6/6E), roaming (802.11r/k/v), WPA2/WPA3, DFS, channel planning.
• Hands-on with Wireshark, iPerf, Ixia/Spirent or similar, spectrum analysis tools.
• Python scripting and test automation experience.
• Strong networking fundamentals: VLANs, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS/802.1X, routing, QoS.
• Comfortable reading specs and turning them into test cases.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for Wi-Fi/private-cellular coexistence, interoperability and handoff scenarios.
• Build comparative benchmarks (throughput, latency, jitter, roaming behavior, client density) between Wi-Fi and Celona deployments.
• Set up and maintain lab environments: APs, controllers, spectrum analyzers, traffic generators, RF chambers, attenuator matrices.
• Automate regression and performance suites in Python; integrate with CI.
• Triage failures across the stack — RF, 802.11 MAC, IP, application — and file actionable defects with captures and logs.
• Validate client behavior across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and industrial IoT endpoints.
• Support field trials and customer escalations with reproducible lab repros.
• Partner with product and systems engineering on requirements and release readiness.

• Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi platforms (Cisco, Aruba, Mist, Ruckus)

• Prior work in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, or education networks
