Job summary

Centre For Sight in India seeks a Financial Counsellor to explain treatment costs, surgery packages, and billing procedures to patients. You will counsel patients on cataract, LASIK, retina, glaucoma, and other eye care options, and educate them about insurance, government schemes, and cashless facilities.

• Counsel patients regarding cataract, LASIK, retina, glaucoma, cornea, pediatric ophthalmology, and other eye care procedures.
• Educate patients about insurance, TPAs, cashless facilities, and government schemes (e.g., PM-JAY/Ayushman Bharat, where applicable).
• Coordinate with consultants, optometrists, OT, billing, and insurance teams to ensure accurate financial information.
• Address patient queries regarding payments, financing options, and documentation.
• Follow up with patients to improve surgery conversions and minimize cancellations.

Preferred candidate profile

• 2 - 5 years of experience as a Financial Counsellor, Surgical Counsellor, or Patient Counsellor.
• Experience in an ophthalmology or eye hospital setting is preferred.
