Job summary

Hical Technologies Pvt Ltd. Bengaluru seeks a Senior Engineer to drive sourcing and purchasing for COTS/electro-mechanical parts in a manufacturing setting, with direct ownership of supplier relationships.

You will handle RFQs, landed-cost calculations, and ensure OEM traceability and compliance, including AS9100 requirements. Strong negotiation and SAP skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace/defence or space industry supply chain is mandatory.
• Minimum 6 years sourcing/purchase in manufacturing.
• Exposure to imported catalogue parts and long-lead procurement.

Responsibilities

• Float RFQs to OEMs, franchised distributors and approved sources; obtain quotations, prepare comparison statements and recommend the source.
• SAP with correct part number, dash number, revision, specification and packaging requirements.
• Prepare landed-cost workings for assigned part families under the guidance of the Senior Engineer.
• Verify Certificate of Conformance, OEM traceability, date code, batch and shelf-life data at receipt; hand over documentation to Quality and Stores.
• Track materials changes, get ECO approval
• Maintain supplier master data, price history, lead-time database and part cross-reference records in SAP.
• Source prototype and first-article COTS parts for NPD / APQP projects as per project timelines

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

• Minimum: Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering
• Preferred: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Electrical or Electronics background is an added advantage for this role)

EXPERIENCE

• Senior Engineer: minimum 6 years of sourcing / purchase experience in a manufacturing environment and direct ownership of a COTS / electro-mechanical commodity.
• Experience in an aerospace, defence or space industry supply chain is mandatory; AS9100 certified organisation preferred.
• Demonstrated hands-on exposure to imported catalogue parts, franchised distributor channels and long-lead connector and cable procurement.
