Job summary

Hical Technologies Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Engineer for strategic sourcing and special-process procurement in a manufacturing setting. You will lead RFQ activities, manage processor relationships and ensure SAP-driven specification flow-down to accelerate approved sources.

The role requires hands-on exposure to job-work/subcontract processing, surface/heat treatments, and adherence to AS9100 standards. Collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering is a must.
• BE/BTech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics (Metallurgy/Materials background is a plus) preferred.
• Experience in aerospace/defense supply chain is mandatory; AS9100 familiarity preferred.
• Proven ability to manage process/spec flow down in SAP.

Responsibilities

• Float RFQs to approved processors, obtain quotations, prepare comparison statements and recommend the source.
• SAP with the complete specification flow-down.
• Expedite processors to meet the committed turnaround; maintain open job-work and open-order reports.
• Compute treated surface area and prepare basic cost estimates under guidance.
• Verify that all process, test and bake certificates are received, complete and correct, and hand over to Quality and Stores.
• Maintain processor master data, approval validity records, rate cards and price history in SAP and the commodity database.
• Source prototype and first-article processing for NPD / APQP projects per timelines.
• Keep purchasing and processor approval records audit-ready.

• Preferred: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Metallurgy or Materials background is an added advantage for this role)

EXPERIENCE

• Senior Engineer: minimum 6 years of sourcing / purchase experience in a manufacturing environment and purchase, with direct ownership of special-process buying.
• Experience in an aerospace, defense or space industry supply chain is mandatory; AS9100 certified organization preferred.
• Demonstrated hands-on exposure to job-work / subcontract processing and to specification-driven surface and heat treatment.
