Job summary

Hical Technologies Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru is seeking an Engineer with hands-on sourcing and purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably with aerospace, defence or space exposure. The role requires coordinating RFQs, supplier qualification, and SAP-based part management.

You will manage landed costs, verify conformance data, and maintain supplier master data while collaborating with Engineering, NPD, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in mechanical/electrical/electronics engineering.
• 3+ years sourcing/purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Aerospace/defence/space supply chain exposure; AS9100 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float RFQs to OEMs, distributors and approved sources; obtain quotations and prepare comparisons.
• SAP usage with correct part numbers, revisions, packaging requirements.
• Prepare landed-cost workings for assigned part families with guidance from Senior Engineer.
• Verify Certificate of Conformance, OEM traceability and date/batch data at receipt.
• Track material changes and maintain supplier data, price history, lead times in SAP.
• Source prototype and first-article COTS parts for NPD/APQP projects.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

• Minimum: Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering
• Preferred: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Electrical or Electronics background is an added advantage for this role)

EXPERIENCE

• Engineer: minimum 3 yearsof sourcing / purchase experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an aerospace, defence or space industry supply chain is mandatory; AS9100 certified organisation preferred.
• Demonstrated hands‑on exposure to imported catalogue parts, franchised distributor channels and long‑lead connector and cable procurement.

• Float RFQs to OEMs, franchised distributors and approved sources; obtain quotations, prepare comparison statements and recommend the source.
• SAP with correct part number, dash number, revision, specification and packaging requirements.
• Prepare landed-cost workings for assigned part families under the guidance of the Senior Engineer.
• Verify Certificate of Conformance, OEM traceability, date code, batch and shelf‑life data at receipt; hand over documentation to Quality and Stores.
• Track materials changes, get ECO approval
• Maintain supplier master data, price history, lead‑time database and part cross‑reference records in SAP.
• Source prototype and first‑article COTS parts for NPD / APQP projects as per project timelines
