Job summary

Pratham Technologies in Maharashtra, India is seeking a Costing Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates for automation systems, SPMs, and control panels.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for automation projects, machines, control panels, and customized engineering solutions.
• Analyze BOMs, technical specifications, GA drawings, electrical schematics, and customer requirements for costing purposes.
• Coordinate with Design, Sales, Purchase, Production, and Projects teams to collect technical and commercial inputs.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations
• Calculate manufacturing costs including machining, fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing, and commissioning.
• Prepare techno-commercial cost sheets, pricing summaries, and project profitability analyses.
• Support tendering, proposal preparation, and customer quotation activities.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and alternate sourcing.
• Maintain standard costing databases, material cost records, and estimation templates.
• Monitor actual project costs versus estimated costs and analyze variances.
• Assist management in budgeting, pricing strategies, and cost control initiatives.
