Job summary

Saaki Argus And Averil Consulting in Chennai seeks an experienced costing professional to handle RFQs, review drawings, and prepare detailed product and process costs for automotive components.

You will coordinate with design, manufacturing and finance teams to ensure accurate costing, perform feasibility studies, and identify risks. Strong GD&T knowledge and AutoCAD/3D modelling skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Handle customer RFQs, enquiries and quotation preparation for automotive components.
• Review customer drawings, 2D/3D models, BOMs, specifications, GD&T and technical requirements.
• Prepare detailed product and process costing covering raw material, tooling, packaging and other value-added processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Design, NPD, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase, Tooling and Finance teams for costing inputs.
• Conduct technical feasibility and manufacturing feasibility studies for new products.
• Evaluate machine capability, process capability, tooling requirements, inspection requirements, capacity and supplier capability.
• Prepare Feasibility Commitment Sheets / Feasibility Study Reports and identify technical and commercial risks.

• Handle customer RFQs, enquiries and quotation preparation for automotive components.
• Review customer drawings, 2D/3D models, BOMs, specifications, GD&T and technical requirements.
• Prepare detailed product and process costing covering raw material, material yield/scrap, forging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, tooling, fixtures, gauging, packaging and other value-added processes.
• Coordinate with Design, NPD, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase, Tooling and Finance teams for costing inputs.
• Conduct technical feasibility and manufacturing feasibility studies for new products.
• Evaluate machine capability, process capability, tooling requirements, inspection requirements, capacity, supplier capability and investment requirements.
• Prepare Feasibility Commitment Sheets / Feasibility Study Reports and identify technical and commercial risks.
• Interpret engineering drawings and applicable ISO, DIN, SAE, ASTM and customer-specific standards.
• Support NPD and process development by establishing suitable manufacturing process flows.
• Develop professional technical presentations and communicate effectively with global customers/OEMs.
• Maintain RFQ trackers, costing sheets and quotation follow-ups
