Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru is seeking a senior cost engineering professional to perform should-cost analyses for automotive, energy equipment, tooling and molding costs. You will collaborate with design, sourcing and suppliers to optimize product cost, support early cost estimation for new products, and drive localization strategies across the supply chain.

The role demands strong knowledge of electromechanical systems and manufacturing processes and experience in cost modeling and supplier

Qualifications

• B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in cost engineering for automotive, medical, or energy domains is preferred.

• Perform product teardown should-cost analysis for Automotive / Energy equipments Tool/ Dies/Mold Costing etc.
• Lead VAVE workshops to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Collaborate with design, sourcing, and suppliers to optimize product cost
• Support new product development with early cost estimation
• Analyze supplier quotes and manufacturing processes for cost validation
• Drive supply chain cost reduction and localization strategies

• Experience in costing of mechanical parts assemblies involving stamping, injection molding, die casting, forging, machining and secondary finishing processes etc...
• Experience with VAVE, cost modeling tools, and supplier negotiations
