Job summary

A2MAC1 in India (Oragadam, Tamil Nadu) seeks a senior Cost Engineer to drive cost optimization for closures and exterior components across new product development. You will analyze cost parameters, perform BOM costing, and collaborate with OEMs or tiers to deliver DtC/VAVE ideas.

You will report technical insights and participate in cross-functional teams, leveraging international best practices and a strong focus on quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in closures and exterior components
• Experience in BOM cost calculation and DtC/VAVE
• Stamping/forging technology costing knowledge
• English written & oral; overseas study a plus
• Bachelor or above degree in electronics, mechanical, industrial engineering or related area
• Good communication skills and teamwork spirit
• Strong adaptability and flexibility, innovative spirit

• 1.Generate technical insights report, costing calculation and report, DtC/VAVE ideas and report as per the tasks assigned by manager and according to required quality standards

Qualifications and skills

• 1.More than 5 years experience/knowledge of Closures and Exterior components in the function of Product Development, Cost Engineering, Purchasing, SQE/STA, Lean Manufacturing or Value Engineering;
• 2.Experience on BOM cost calculation, DtC/VAVE from supply chain, material and manufacturing process;
• 3.Stamping / forging technology manufacturing and costing knowledge;
• 4.English written & oral, overseas study experience is a plus;
• 5.Bachelor or above degree in electronics, mechanical, industrial engineering or related area;
• 6.Good communication skills and teamwork spirit;
• 7.Strong adaptability and flexibility, innovative spirit;
