Job summary

Quest Global in Maharashtra, India, is hiring a Should Cost and Value Engineering specialist to support design-to-cost initiatives across engineering programs. You will perform should cost analysis on existing and developmental products, propose value engineering redesigns, and conduct reverse engineering of standard components to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Windchill and SAP will help you access 3D models, drawings and part data to drive informed

Key Responsibilities

Should Cost Analysis

Should cost analysis of existing products or products under development.

Value Engineering

Analysis and re-design proposals of existing product or products under development.

Reverse Engineering

Reverse Engineering of standard or standardized components, e.g. hydraulic fittings, in order to support the identification and qualification of purchased components.

Work Experience

• Familiar with Value analysis & Value engineering processes. Basic knowledge of material, part & assembly level cost.
• Familiar with engineering materials, Manufacturing processes & their application in product development.
• Familiar with Should cost Process, Purpose of should cost, What is the Should cost? Reason for requesting should cost & Process of Should cost.
• Familiar with Supply chain activities, Applications and Process flow, Product Knowledge.
• Familiar with Supplier Qualification process, Understanding of ISO certifications, Product based certification trainings, Supplier capabilities.
• Familiar with Product, Purpose of reverse engineering? And advantages of reverse engineering.
• Basic Knowledge of SolidWorks & their usage to open & study the 3D model & 2D drawing. Create simple 3D models & drawing preparation. Able to read & interpret GD & T.
• Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD & their usage to open & study the 2D drawing. Create simple 2D drawing preparation. Able to read & interpret GD & T.
• Basic Knowledge of Windchill & their usage to Upload, download 3D model & 2D drawing.
• Basic Knowledge of SAP & their usage to read and download information related to parts and assembly.
