Job summary

Premier Tissues in India is seeking a cost accounting professional to lead cost tracking, product costing, and variance analysis within a manufacturing plant. Qualifications

• Must hold CMA (ICAI) certification.

• Experience in Paper, Packaging, Textiles, FMCG, or Process Industries is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cost tracking across raw materials, inventory, and labour to determine manufacturing costs.
• Maintain and update standard costs for materials, BOM, and finished goods.
• Perform variance analysis comparing actual vs standard costs and report findings.
• Monitor inventory transactions, perform physical counts, and investigate variances.
• Analyze product margins and provide management with profitability insights.
• Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts for manufacturing operations.

Role & responsibilities

• Cost Tracking: Collect and analyse data to determine the costs of business activities like raw material purchases, inventory, and labour .
• Product Costing: Maintain and update standard costs for raw materials, bill of materials (BOM), and finished goods.
• Variance Analysis: Analyse actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory transactions, conduct physical count reconciliations, and investigate cycle counting variances.
• Margin Analysis: Analyse product profitability and give feedback to management on margins by product line, customer, or facility.
• Budgeting Support: Assist the finance team in preparing annual manufacturing budgets and rolling operational forecasts.

Preferred candidate profile

• Professional Certification: Qualified CMA (Certified Management Accountant) from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) is mandatory.
• Experience: 4 to 6 years of core cost accounting experience within a manufacturing plant setup. Experience in Paper, Packaging, Textiles, FMCG, or Process Industries is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel capabilities (Macros, Pivot Tables, Power Query) for handling extensive production datasets
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical acumen, collaborative communication to coordinate with Plant Managers, and sharp attention to data integrity
