Role & responsibilities

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for monitoring and controlling manufacturing costs, preparing product-wise costing, analysing material consumption and wastage, and preparing cost-related MIS reports. The role will support management in cost reduction, budgeting, inventory control, variance analysis, and improving overall profitability of the manufacturing operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CMA (Inter/Final) / CA Inter.
• Experience: 4-5 years of experience in costing and accounts, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
• Experience in flexible packaging, printing, plastic, FMCG, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of product costing, material consumption, inventory valuation, and cost variance analysis.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/accounting software.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare costing reports, MIS, budgets, and management reports.
• Good coordination skills with Production, Stores, Purchase, and Accounts departments.
• Should have a strong focus on cost control, wastage reduction, and profitability improvement.
