Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of standard vs. actual cost and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in inventory costing and budgeting.
• Ability to perform month-end journal entries and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and production costs to identify cost-saving methods.
• Prepare product costing and compare standard costs with actual costs.
• Monitor material, direct labour, overhead and manufacturing costs.
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare budgeting and cost-related reports with departments.
• Monitor inventory levels and participate in physical inventory verification.
• Ensure accurate classification and recording of expenses.
• Verify material costs and maintain costing data in the system.
• Perform month-end activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support internal audits and ensure compliance with accounting practices.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved profitability.
• Prepare and present cost reports to management.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting & Costing.

• Experience in Budgeting, Cost Control & Analysis.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• CMA / ICWA qualification.
• Experience in Chemical, Pharma, Food, API or other manufacturing industries.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
