Job summary

Luxoft in India is seeking an experienced Test Analyst with a strong background in the banking domain, especially in retail banking and Signature mainframe Core Banking Software. You will design, develop, and execute test strategies and plans for business-critical banking applications, demanding in-depth domain knowledge and hands-on experience with legacy systems.

Responsibilities include backend mainframe testing, data migration validation, and leading defect triage, as well as mentoring

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/testing experience with a focus on Retail Banking/Financial Services.
• Solid hands-on experience with Signature Mainframe Core Banking Software Applications.
• Strong mortgage domain knowledge including origination, servicing, underwriting, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in data migration testing and working on critical production issues.
• Experience with batch job testing, file validations, and data reconciliation.
• Familiar with test management and defect tracking tools like qTest, JIRA.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and test data preparation, test plan and test summary report preparation.
• Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, SDLC methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and lead testing efforts for projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Perform backend testing on mainframe systems, including validation of batch processes and data.
• Participate in requirement and design reviews to identify quality issues early.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure delivery quality.
• Analyze test results, raise defects, and lead defect triage meetings.
• Provide test estimates, track progress, and report testing metrics.
• Ensure compliance with QA processes and standards.
• Mentor junior test analysts and support knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for test design reviews and test coverage.
• Automate manual test cases as part of the sprint and build a robust Automation Test Suite.
