Job summary

Luxoft in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Test Analyst with strong banking domain knowledge, especially in retail banking and AS400 mainframe systems. You will design, develop, and execute test strategies for critical banking applications, and mentor junior testers.

The role requires deep analysis, hands-on testing across system, integration, and UAT, plus backend mainframe validation and data reconciliation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/testing in Retail Banking/FS.
• Mortgage domain knowledge: origination, servicing, underwriting, compliance.
• Hands-on AS400 mainframe testing experience.
• Experience handling critical production issues.
• Batch job testing, file validations, data reconciliation.
• Familiar with qTest and JIRA.
• Strong SQL for data validation.
• Aware of Agile, Waterfall and SDLC.
• Ability to work independently and lead testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

We are seeking an experienced Test Analyst with a strong background in the banking domain, particularly in retail banking and Signature AS400 mainframe systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies and plans for business-critical banking applications. The role demands in-depth domain knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience with legacy systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand business and system requirements for Core banking (Retail) products and services.
• Design and document test strategies, test plans, test cases, Test Summary Report and test data based on business and technical requirements.
• Execute manual and automated test cases across various phases of testing - System, Integration, and UAT.
• Perform backend testing on mainframe systems, including validation of batch processes and data.
• Participate in requirement and design reviews to identify and mitigate potential quality issues early.
• Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Analyze test results, raise clear and concise defects when appropriate
• Lead defect triage meetings and manage defect lifecycle through resolution.
• Provide test estimates, track progress, and report testing metrics.
• Ensure compliance with QA processes and standards.
• Mentor junior test analysts and support knowledge sharing across teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to carry out test design review to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Automate manual test cases as part of the sprint and build a robust Automation Test Suite.

SKILLS

Must have

• 5+ years of experience in QA/testing with a focus on Retail Banking/Financial Services.
• Strong mortgage domain knowledge, including origination, servicing, underwriting, and regulatory compliance.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience in Signature/ AS400 Mainframe application.
• Experience of working on Critical production issues.
• Experience with batch job testing, file validations, and data reconciliation.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like qTest, JIRA.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and test data preparation.
