Job summary

SuperBottoms in Mumbai is seeking a copywriter who genuinely loves writing and can craft hooks that convert, turning product features into simple benefits. You will write across the entire customer journey—from ads to WhatsApp messages that drive repeat purchases.

You’ll combine creativity with consumer understanding and performance thinking, producing sharp, witty social copy, website content, and campaigns for a fast‑moving D2C brand.

Qualifications

• Is genuinely passionate about writing and advertising.
• Has hands-on experience writing ad copies for performance marketing.
• Understands retention communication such as WhatsApp, email, SMS or CRM.
• Can write sharp, witty and culturally relevant social media copy.
• Has written website and ecommerce copy.
• Can write strong hooks, headlines, CTAs and short‑form scripts.
• Understands that copy has to sell without always sounding like it is selling.
• Has an excellent command of English.
• Is AI‑savvy and comfortable using tools for research, ideation, variations, scripting and faster creative exploration.
• Knows how to adapt the same idea across different formats and tones.
• Is curious, proactive, high‑energy and comfortable in a fast‑moving environment.
• Keeps up with internet culture, advertising, social trends and consumer behaviour.
• Is comfortable receiving feedback and rewriting until the copy is right.

Responsibilities

• Write across Performance Marketing: Meta ads, Google ads, static creatives, video hooks, UGC scripts, headlines and CTAs.
• Develop Retention Marketing copy for WhatsApp, email, SMS, push notifications and customer journeys.
• Create Social Media copy: witty posts, topical content, reels, scripts, campaigns and everyday brand communication.
• Craft Website copy: banners, landing pages, product communication, collection pages and campaign pages.
• Develop Brand Campaigns: campaign ideas, taglines, launch communication and storytelling.
• Turn Product features into simple, compelling consumer benefits.

SuperBottoms is looking for a copywriter who genuinely loves writing — someone who notices words, obsesses over the perfect hook, understands why one line converts better than another, and can make parents stop scrolling.

This is not a role limited to captions.

You will write across the entire customer journey — from the first ad someone sees to the WhatsApp message that brings them back to shop again.

We’re looking for someone who can combine creativity + consumer understanding + performance thinking.

What You'll Write

You’ll work on copy across:

• Performance Marketing: Meta ads, Google ads, static creatives, video hooks, UGC scripts, headlines and CTAs
• Retention Marketing: WhatsApp, email, SMS, push notifications and customer journeys
• Social Media: witty posts, topical content, reels, scripts, campaigns and everyday brand communication
• Website: banners, landing pages, product communication, collection pages and campaign pages
• Brand Campaigns: campaign ideas, taglines, launch communication and storytelling
• Product Communication: turning product features into simple, compelling consumer benefits

What We're Looking For

You should be someone who:

• Is genuinely passionate about writing and advertising

• Can write sharp, witty and culturally relevant social media copy
• Has written website and ecommerce copy
• Can write strong hooks, headlines, CTAs and short‑form scripts
• Understands that copy has to sell without always sounding like it is selling
• Has an excellent command of English
• Has strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Is AI‑savvy and comfortable using tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or similar tools for research, ideation, variations, scripting and faster creative exploration.Knows how to use AI as a creative accelerator, not a replacement for original thinking
• Can adapt the same idea across very different formats and tones
• Is curious, proactive, high‑energy and comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment
• Keeps up with internet culture, advertising, social trends and consumer behaviour
• Is comfortable receiving feedback and rewriting until the copy is right

Bonus Points

• Previous experience working with a D2C / ecommerce / consumer brand
• Experience in parenting, baby care, kids, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, wellness or FMCG categories
• Experience looking at performance data and using learnings to improve ad copy
• Understanding of Meta Ads Library and competitor creative research
