Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and creative Copy Lead to provide strategic direction and creative leadership for our copywriting team. This senior leadership role requires an exceptional wordsmith who can elevate brand narratives, lead creative teams, drive award-winning campaigns, and contribute to business growth while maintaining the highest standards of client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Ideation & Excellence: Craft compelling content, provide creative input on day-to-day briefs, scripts, and innovative campaigns that elevate brand positioning. Lead content and campaign ideation processes, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to brand communication challenges

Client Satisfaction: Ensure exceptional client satisfaction with respect to content and copy across all assigned brands

Team Management & Decision Making: Successfully manage team crises and conflicts while promoting a positive and productive work environment. Demonstrate strong decision-making capabilities in creative direction and project management

Ownership: Maintain complete ownership and accountability for all copy deliverables across assigned accounts.

Business Acumen and Industry Trends: Demonstrate in-depth understanding of business objectives and leverage this knowledge to drive growth for clients and brands. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to inform creative approaches.

Business Growth: Support organizational growth by leading copywriting efforts in pitches and new business development initiatives

Team Collaboration and Brainstorming: Collaborate with creative directors, brand solutions teams, and other department leads to develop integrated campaigns and lead brainstorming sessions and creative workshops to generate innovative content ideas

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in copywriting with at least 2 years in a senior role, preferably in a digital marketing or advertising agency

Proven portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative writing, strategic thinking, and versatility across different platforms and industries

Experience leading creative teams and mentoring junior copywriters with experience in conflict resolution, delegation, and team motivation skills.

Track record of developing award-winning or highly successful campaigns

Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, content planning, and campaign development

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Deep understanding of digital marketing trends, social media platforms, and content formats.
