Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks an experienced Control-M Batch Distributed Admin to manage, maintain, and support Control-M batch scheduling environments. The candidate will handle scheduling, patching, upgrades, agent management, and automation via scripting and APIs.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis of job failures, calendar management, DR activities, and collaboration with application and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth batch processing. On-call support is expected.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in Control-M administration and scheduling.
• Hands-on experience with Control-M components and environments.
• Ability to analyze job failures and perform RCA.
• Experience with patching, upgrades and agent management.
• Automation of processes via scripting and Control-M Automation API.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain Control-M job schedules across environments.
• Analyze failures and provide timely resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Manage resources to optimize batch flow and prevent conflicts.
• Create and maintain Control-M calendars per business needs.
• Perform DR activities and validation.
• Patch and upgrade Control-M Server, EM, and Agents.
• Upgrade OS and DB (PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL) as needed.
• Configure CCM components and monitor access/roles.
• Develop automation scripts for operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with apps infra teams for smooth batch processing.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production monitoring.

Job Description:

Looking for an experienced BMC Control-M Scheduler Administrator who will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting Control-M batch scheduling environments. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in both scheduling and administrative aspects of Control-M, with the ability to analyze and resolve job failures, perform patching and upgrades, manage agents, and automate processes using scripting and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform administrative tasks such as:

• Design, create, and maintain Control-M job schedules across multiple environments.
• Analyze job failures and provide timely resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Manage Control and Exclusive resources to optimize job flow and prevent conflicts.
• Create and maintain Control-M calendars as per business requirements.
• DR (Disaster Recovery) activity execution and validation.
• Control-M/Server, Control-M/EM, and Agent patching and upgrades.
• OS (Linux/Windows) and Database (PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL) upgrade support.
• Manage Control-M Configuration Manager (CCM) components and configurations.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Control-M Agents across environments.
• Monitor and manage user access and roles within Control-M EM.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for operational efficiency.
• Utilize Control-M Automation API for deployment, monitoring, and automation tasks.
