Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a seasoned contracts professional in India to handle complex construction agreements. The role includes interpreting contract conditions, drafting and negotiating JV/consortium agreements, and managing notices, variations and dispute resolution.

Expertise in FIDIC, railway, NHAI, CPWD contracts and knowledge of Indian arbitration and contract laws are essential. Proficiency in Primavera/MSP will support EoT analysis and risk monitoring.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret Contract Conditions, analyze pre-bid queries and clarifications.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, joint ventures, consortium and service provider agreements.
• Knowledge of FIDIC, Railway, NHAI and CPWD contracts.
• MIS reports and monitoring of project risks and opportunities.
• Draft contractual communications and project correspondences.
• Ensure timely notices for EoT, variations and disputes.
• Experience with dispute resolution processes including arbitration.
• Knowledge of EoT/delay analysis and scheduling tools (Primavera, MSP).

Responsibilities

Job description

1) Candidate should have the ability to interpret Contract Conditions, analyze Pre bid Queries and Clarifications.

2) Drafting, review and negotiation of Contracts, Joint Venture, Consortium, Service provider agreements.

3) Sound have knowledge in FIDIC Contracts, Railway Contracts, NHAI Contracts, CPWD Contracts.

MIS Reports, Identification and monitoring of Project risks and opportunities periodically.

4) Drafting of Contractual communications / Project correspondences.

5) Ensuring timely notices for various issues arising at site pertaining to Extension of time, variations, settlement of disputes.

Handling of Delay Damages Claims, Acceleration claims, Disruption claims and prolongation cost claim.

6) Must have knowledge in Indian Arbitration Act 1996(Amended on 2015 & 2019) and Indian Contract Act 1872

7) Experience in Dispute resolution processes such as DAB, DRC, Conciliation, Mediation, Amicable settlement and Arbitration

8) Knowledge in project scheduling, EoT / Delay analysis and programming software like primavera and MSP
