Job Title: Contracts Engineer

Job Description:

As a Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of subcontracting and contract administration for construction activities. This includes drafting and negotiating contracts, evaluating subcontractor proposals, conducting rate analysis, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will work closely with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors to facilitate efficient procurement, maintain cost control, and ensure timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Drafting & Negotiation:

• Prepare, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and other procurement agreements.
• Ensure contracts align with project requirements, company standards, and legal regulations.

Subcontractor Management:

• Coordinate the full subcontracting process: invite quotations and profiles, evaluate offers, and award contracts.
• Conduct detailed analysis of subcontractor proposals to ensure value for money and compliance with project scope.
• Finalize agreements in line with organizational procurement policies and project timelines.

Rate Analysis & Cost Optimization:

• Perform comprehensive rate analysis for various construction activities including civil, structural, and finishing works.
• Research current market rates, negotiate with vendors, and analyse cost trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Vendor & Relationship Management:

• Manage subcontractor relationships to ensure performance, compliance, and project alignment.
• Address and resolve issues, claims, and disputes to maintain productive partnerships.
• Facilitate regular communication with vendors to monitor deliverables and support continuous improvement.
