Job summary

Hlfppt in Kerala is seeking a Lab Technician with a Diploma in Laboratory Technology to support the Medical Officer and team in programme activities, perform lab tests as prescribed, and collect samples.

You will handle sample collection, waste management, record test results, assist in clinical tests, label and detach specimens, and coordinate with local team to ensure smooth implementation. This role also involves MIS updates and patient counseling as required, with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Medical Officer and the team in smooth implementation of the programme activities.
• Administration of lab test as prescribed by the medical officer.
• Sample collection for lab testing.
• Assistance in overall project implementation.
• Preparation of sample collection and waste management.
• Recording of lab test & given result.
• Preparation for and assistance in clinical tests and medical procedure.
• Collecting labeling and detaching of specimens
• Giving and receiving referral Reports
• Counseling services to patients.
• Coordinating with local team members for effective implementation of programme
• Assist medical Officer in documentation process and maintenance of health/patient information systems as per project requirements (MIS Updation) Any other task which may be assigned by the reporting manager from time to time.
