Job summary

NV Infra is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead large-scale projects in the Chennai area. You will drive planning, execution, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination from initiation through handover, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, with hands-on experience in schedule control and risk mitigation. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• 710 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven experience in independently managing construction projects from planning to handover.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, construction execution, cost control, and contractor management.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contracts.
• Experience with MS Project / Primavera P6.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage construction projects from initiation to completion and handover.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, consultants, vendors, and clients.
• Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and scope of work to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays and risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, material planning, billing, and variations.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with procurement and commercial teams to ensure timely availability of resources and materials.
• Conduct regular site inspections and project review meetings to track progress and resolve issues.
• Prepare and review DPRs, WPRs, MIS reports, progress dashboards, and project documentation.
• Manage client and consultant communication, approvals, inspections, and project-related decisions.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, costs, risks, and key challenges.
• Mentor and guide project engineers and site teams to ensure effective project execution.
