Job summary

Essar Minmet in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai is seeking a Senior Project Leader to drive the construction, erection and commissioning of Continuous Casting facilities for a large-scale steel plant. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams and ensure safety, schedule and budget adherence across sites.

The ideal candidate has 15-25 years of experience in steel, metals or EPC industrial projects, with greenfield/brownfield exposure, and strong stakeholder management. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in 15-25 years total professional experience.
• Strong experience in steel, metals, heavy engineering, EPC or large industrial projects.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield projects preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong EPC contractor and technology supplier management experience.
• Experience in commissioning and plant ramp-up is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of industrial HSE requirements.
• Willingness to work from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai and travel to project sites as required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects within schedule, budget and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage caster equipment erection and installation.
• Coordinate mould, oscillator, segments and withdrawal/straightening systems.
• Manage torch-cutting and material handling systems.
• Coordinate hydraulic, lubrication and cooling systems.
• Manage structural, piping, electrical and instrumentation interfaces.
• Review lifting and erection methodologies.
• Ensure equipment alignment and installation tolerances.
• Coordinate OEM and technology supplier specialists.
• Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning readiness.
• Manage punch-list closure and handover.
