Job summary

Raeln Buildtech Llp in Chennai is seeking a Civil Construction Lead to supervise 10–12 residential projects from site marking to plastering completion, ensuring safe, on‑time execution. You will guide Site Engineers, coordinate labour and subcontractors, and ensure all activities conform to approved architectural and structural drawings, quality standards and company SOPs.

Expertise in RCC, masonry, plastering, and ability to read drawings, measurements and levels, plus Tamil and English

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 5-7 years experience in residential building construction.
• Experience managing multiple sites independently.
• Strong knowledge of RCC, masonry, plastering and construction methodologies.
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings, measurements, levels and site markings.
• Experience supervising Site Engineers, labour teams and subcontractors.
• Proficient with project management apps and digital reporting.
• Fluent in Tamil and English.

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee civil construction activities across 10-12 residential projects simultaneously, from site marking to completion of plastering.
• Supervise, guide and monitor Site Engineers to ensure efficient project execution.
• Ensure all construction activities are carried out strictly as per approved architectural and structural drawings.
• Verify site markings, measurements, dimensions, alignments and levels at critical construction stages.
• Ensure high standards of construction quality, workmanship and technical accuracy.
• Implement and enforce company SOPs, construction methodologies, quality checklists and policies.
• Plan and coordinate construction activities sequentially to ensure smooth workflow and prevent avoidable delays.
• Manage and coordinate labour teams and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of work.
• Inspect construction materials to ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance to Site Engineers and subcontractors, identify workmanship defects and ensure timely corrective action.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor project progress against planned schedules.
• Ensure daily progress updates, site documentation and consistent usage of the company's project management application.
• Identify and resolve site execution issues, coordinate with relevant teams and prevent recurring problems.
• Ensure completed civil works meet company quality standards before handing over to the finishing team.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 57 years of experience in residential building construction, preferably individual houses and villas.
• Proven experience in independently managing multiple construction sites simultaneously.
• Strong technical knowledge of RCC, masonry, plastering and construction methodologies.
• Excellent understanding of architectural and structural drawings, measurements, levels and site markings.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, material specifications and workmanship.
• Experience supervising Site Engineers, labour teams and subcontractors.
• Strong planning, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify construction defects and implement effective corrective measures.
• Proficiency in using project management applications and digital reporting tools.
• Good communication skills in Tamil and English.
• Candidates with experience in Chennai's residential construction industry will be preferred.
