Job summary

Rishi And Associates Coimbatore is seeking a Civil Site Supervisor to oversee daily RCC and masonry works at a Chennai project. You will verify quantities, track material usage, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires 3–8 years of hands-on site experience in residential, institutional, or industrial construction, with ability to read structural drawings and bar schedules. Tamil proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 3–8 years of hands-on site experience in civil structural works (RCC) and masonry.
• Experience in residential, institutional or industrial projects.
• Ability to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules on site.
• Basic computer knowledge for DPR submission and reporting.
• Willing to work on sites in Chennai; Tamil-speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Site Execution: supervise day-to-day civil structural works as per drawings.
• Quantity Take-off at site: verify materials against drawings and report deviations.
• Material Reconciliation: track consumption and highlight wastage or discrepancies.
• DPR & Reporting: prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports using basic formats.
• Quality Control: regular site inspections to ensure workmanship and drawings.
• Safety: enforce safety protocols, housekeeping, and PPE compliance on site.
• Labour Coordination: coordinate with labour contractors and masons for workflow.
• Office Coordination: liaise with office QS for quantity confirmation and billing support.

Role & responsibilities

• Site Execution: Supervise day-to-day execution of civil structural works RCC (columns, beams, slabs, foundations), masonry, plastering and related finishing activities as per approved drawings.
• Quantity Take-off at Site: Carry out quantity take-offs at site level verify materials against drawings, measure completed work and report deviations.
• Material Reconciliation: Track material consumption on site; reconcile actual usage versus issued quantities and highlight wastage or discrepancies.
• DPR & Reporting: Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) covering work done, labour deployed, material consumed and equipment usage. Basic Excel or formats to be used.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards and drawings are being followed accurately.
• Safety: Enforce safety protocols, housekeeping standards and PPE compliance on site at all times.
• Labour Coordination: Coordinate with labour contractors, masons and skilled workers to ensure smooth and uninterrupted workflow.
• Office Coordination: Liaise with the office QS team for quantity confirmation, billing support and material indent requests.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• 3 to 8 years of hands‑on site experience in civil structural works RCC and masonry mandatory
• Experience in residential, institutional or industrial construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and bar bending schedules on site
• Basic computer knowledge MS Excel for DPR submission and simple quantity sheets; email communication
• Understanding of material reconciliation and site‑level quantity take-off
• Must be willing to work on sites in Chennai
• Candidates already residing in Coimbatore or nearby districts strongly preferred
• Good communication in Tamil; basic English for written reports
