Job summary

Mundeshwari Group is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee daily civil construction activities, including excavation, foundation, RCC, and finishing works. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety rules at the project site in Patna, Bihar.

Ideal candidates have a diploma/ITI in civil engineering and hands-on experience coordinating labour and subcontractors. Strong drawing interpretation and quality control abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering / Civil Construction, or a relevant technical qualification.
• Candidates with relevant construction site experience and practical technical knowledge may also be considered, as per company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil construction activities including excavation, foundation, RCC, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, masonry and plastering.
• Ensure work aligns with approved drawings, layouts and technical specifications.
• Oversee shuttering, reinforcement binding, concreting, curing and deshuttering.
• Monitor brickwork, blockwork, plastering, flooring and waterproofing.
• Ensure construction follows drawings and instructions from Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, foundation layouts, column/beams/slab drawings.
• Verify site measurements, marking, levels and dimensions before execution.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and report promptly.
• Allocate daily tasks to masons, bar benders, shuttering carpenters and helpers.
• Monitor labour productivity, material usage and progress against schedule.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, contractors and subcontractors for smooth execution.
• Check availability of materials, tools and equipment before starting work.
• Maintain site discipline and ensure adherence to the work schedule.
• Ensure curing and prescribed construction procedures.
• Identify defective work and report for rectification.
• Coordinate with QC team during inspections.
• Maintain daily progress reports and labour/material records.
• Report daily progress, pending activities and site requirements to the reporting authority.
• Ensure workers follow PPE rules and maintain safe site access.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report to Site Engineer or Safety Officer.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Supervise daily civil construction activities, including excavation, foundation, footing, RCC, column, beam, slab, staircase, masonry, plastering, and other related works.
2. 2. Ensure proper execution of structural work as per approved structural drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
3. 3. Supervise shuttering, reinforcement binding, concreting, curing, and deshuttering activities.
4. 4. Monitor brickwork, blockwork, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, and other civil finishing activities as assigned.
5. 5. Ensure that all construction work is carried out according to approved drawings and instructions from the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
6. 6. Possess good knowledge of reading and interpreting structural drawings, architectural drawings, foundation layouts, column layouts, beam and slab drawings, and other construction drawings.
7. 7. Understand dimensions, levels, grid lines, sections, elevations, and reinforcement details mentioned in drawings.
8. 8. Verify site measurements and ensure proper marking, alignment, levels, and dimensions before execution.
9. 9. Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and report them promptly to the concerned engineer.
10. 10. Allocate daily work to masons, bar benders, shuttering carpenters, helpers, and other site workers.
11. 11. Monitor labour productivity, material utilization, and progress of work against the construction schedule.
12. 12. Coordinate with Site Engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other project teams for smooth execution.
13. 13. Check the availability of construction materials, tools, and equipment before starting work.
14. 14. Maintain proper site discipline and ensure that workers follow the assigned work schedule.
15. 15. Ensure proper curing and follow the prescribed construction procedures.
16. 16. Identify defective or substandard work and report it for timely rectification.
17. 17. Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team and Site Engineer during inspections.
18. 18. Maintain daily site progress reports, labour attendance, material consumption records, and work completion updates.
19. 19. Report daily work progress, pending activities, manpower deployment, and site requirements to the reporting authority.
20. 20. Ensure that workers follow construction site safety rules and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
21. 21. Maintain proper housekeeping and safe access throughout the work area.
22. 22. Identify unsafe working conditions and immediately report them to the Site Engineer or Safety Officer.

. Educational Qualification

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering / Civil Construction, or a relevant technical qualification.

. Experience

• Minimum 58 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in residential, commercial, high-rise building, or real estate projects.
• Practical experience in structural work, RCC, masonry, plastering, and other civil activities.
• Experience in supervising construction labour and contractors at project sites.
