Job summary

Activus Industrial Design and Build Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Civil Project Lead for contract roles. The incumbent will supervise civil, architectural, structural, landscaping, plumbing and related works, ensuring design conformance, safety, quality and timely completion.

The position requires 10–15 years of experience, a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 1st Class or above, and the ability to sign off on documents and contractor bills.

Responsibilities

• In‑charge of civil, architectural, structural, landscaping, plumbing, interior and external development works per final designs.
• Ensure site safety and compliance with quality standards.
• Authorize signatory on civil site documents and contractor bills.
• Oversee pre-construction, construction, commissioning, hand‑over and post‑construction activities.
• Lead site kick-off and progress review meetings with vendors; conduct safety meetings.
• Review and approve GFC drawings/specifications; advise engineers for contractor issuance.
• Manage budget, resource planning, and client liaison to maintain schedule and relationships.
• Support QA/QC audits, generate quality reports, and close out defects.

• 1. In-charge of all activities related to Civil, Architectural, Structural, Landscaping, Plumbing, Interior works, External development as per finalized design & drawings.
• 2. Site Safety
• 3. Compliances
• 4. Authorized signatory for all documents related to civil site works.
• 5. Authorized signatory for the contractor’s bills, material requirements, etc.
• 6. Shall be Authorized Signatory authority in absence of Project GM & Project DGM.
• 7. Responsible for all civil related construction projects including, site organization, document organization, safety, quality control, contract management and budgetary management.
• 8. Implementation of Quality Management System, associated tools, processes and procedures to ensure site activities are appropriately controlled and monitored for the satisfactory progression of the projects and in accordance with standards.
• 9. Lead Site Kick-off & Review meetings with all vendors including site safety meetings.
• 10. Daily and Weekly Meeting with Civil Contractors to review Daily and Weekly Progress at site
• 11. Review, comment and Approval on GFC drawings / specifications and any other documents that may required for the project and advise to Senior Civil Engineer to issue contractor.
• 12. Review, comment and Approval of Change Control
• 13. Review and Approval of Minutes of Meeting and circulate to all concern.
• 15. Single Point of Contact of civil department.
• 16. Responsible for any queries arising from the audit teams (from quality, safety and other auditors) and shall ensure completion of the audit points.
• 17. Directly manage their project team (s) to ensure quality management outcomes in pre-construction, construction, commissioning, hand-over and post-construction.
• 18. Responsible for ensuring the resourcing levels on their project(s) is appropriate in terms of numbers and skill level of employees.Overall management of their team(s) including the recruitment, mentoring, performance management and support of team members.
• 19. Planning, scheduling and overall civil budgetary responsibility for the project(s) they are responsible for, ensuring that civil related activities remain on time schedule and within budget.
• 20. Client liaison to ensure that needs is being met and a good relationship is maintained at all times.
• 21. Ensure at all times good communication channels are maintained between the project team, contractors and clients.
• 23. Check and approverate analysis, comparison quotes, provide technical recommendation for misc items ordered during the Project progress
• 24. Issue NCR and timely closure of defects rectification. Generate all quality reports as necessary internal and external.
• 25. Technically assist AIDB in preparation of snag list.
• 26. Assist in creating a Standard operating procedure (SOP) for the operation and maintenance of the new facility and its equipment.
• 27. To inspect and suggest remedial measures for any defects arising in the post construction period.
• 28. Ensure issuance of structural stability certificate and building occupancy certificates as may be required by authority norms during construction and after completion of defects liability period.
• 29. Issue Design certification and validation as required by any authority and AIDB.
• Assist to mark asset tags as required by finance team.
