Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a senior role in Bengaluru, focusing on end-to-end strategy for Cable & Harness commodities, including cables, wires, connectors, harnesses and sensors. The position involves developing and managing the global supplier ecosystem, driving strategic sourcing, negotiations and cost optimization.

The ideal candidate will have 12-16 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing/Commodity Management and strong expertise in Cable & Harness/Wiring/Connectors/Electromechanical

Qualifications

• 12-16 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing/Commodity Management.
• Strong Cable & Harness/Wiring/Connectors/Electromechanical commodity expertise.
• Has independently managed global commodities with significant spend.
• Ideally from semiconductor equipment, electronics, aerospace, or capital equipment backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategy for Cable & Harness commodities: cables, wires, connectors, harnesses, sensors.
• Develop and manage the global supplier ecosystem: selection, qualification, development, consolidation.
• Drive strategic sourcing, negotiations, contracts/LTAs and cost optimization.
• Manage supplier capacity, continuity, dual sourcing and supply-chain risks.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain on NPI and technical requirements.
• Drive VAVE, should-cost analysis, benchmarking and productivity initiatives.
• Build long-term commodity roadmaps aligned with technology and business needs.
• Act as the commodity SME and strategic owner.

• Owning end-to-end strategy for Cable & Harness commodities - cables, wires, connectors, harnesses, sensors
