Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder Root is seeking an experienced procurement leader to manage NPI projects with multi-million dollar revenue impact. You will drive electrical commodities from a global supplier base, lead should-cost exercises, and coordinate closely with planning and category teams to optimize stock, pricing and terms.

Strong communication, matrix-organization experience, and self-motivation are essential. The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, cost reduction, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• 5–8 years overall business experience with at least 5 years in electronics manufacturing.
• Effective planning, organization, and leadership skills.
• New product introduction and development skills from supply chain.
• Global knowledge and experience with specified commodities.
• Excellent written & verbal communication (English).
• Strong analytical background with Excel & Access.
• Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to articulate a clear vision and urgency.
• Experience working in a matrix organization with direct & indirect reporting.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Drive NPId projects of about $20Mn revenue with $5Mn savings opportunity.
• Drive the electrical commodity of $2Mn sourced from 10 suppliers worldwide.
• Deliver should-cost coaching with the team and external consultants.
• Collaborate with Category team and initiate contracts for stocking, pricing and terms.
• Identify potential new suppliers to achieve right cost of parts.
• Work with Planning to implement S&OP, MRP, replenishment, and long lead planning.

Background and Skills:

• 5 to 8 years overall business experience with at least five years of that in Electronics manufacturing industry and consolidating the spend of the following commodities per GVR global Electrical, Electronic components, Wire harness, Motors, LCDs, Keypad etc.


• Effective planning, organization, and leadership skills


• New product introduction and development skills from supply chain


• Global knowledge, skills, and demonstrated experience specified commodities


• Problem-solving skills


• India transportation & logistics knowledge, skills, and demonstrated experience


• Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English)


• Strong analytical background including experience with tools such as Excel & Access


• Ability & experience interfacing at all levels of the organization


• Ability to articulate clear vision and convey a sense of urgency

Key Responsibilities:

• To drive NPI projects of about $20Mn revenue with $5Mn savings opportunity.


• To drive the electrical commodity of $ 2mn coming from 10 suppliers across the world.


• Driving should cost with the team and external consultants


• To work with Category team and initiate the contracts for stocking, Pricing and other commercial terms


• Identify potential new suppliers of this commodity to get the right cost of the parts.


• To work with Planning team to initiate the proper flow down of S&OP and implementation of MRP, replenishment mechanism and long lead planning.
